Raj Babbar isn’t invited to son Prateik Babbar’s wedding to Priya Banerjee, reveals step-brother Aarya: ‘Someone is influencing him’

However, Aarya expressed that he gives Prateik ‘the benefit of the doubt.’ He also shared that though he understand Prateik’s decision to not call Aarya’s mother and his step mother Nadira Babbar, he should have at least invited their father Raj Babbar. He said, “Life is not less than a film; someone in the house is influencing him. I don’t want to think it is Prateik, and I don’t think he is like that.” This is Prateik’s second marriage. He was earlier married to Sanya Sagar.

For those unfamiliar, Prateik is the son of actors Raj Babbar and Smita Patil. At the time, Raj Babbar was already married to Nadira Babbar and had two children, Aarya Babbar and Juhi Babbar. However, he fell in love with his co-star Smita Patil, and the two got married in 1983. They welcomed their son Prateik in 1986, but tragically, Smita Patil passed away just after a few days of giving birth due to childbirth complications. Following her untimely demise, Raj Babbar returned to his first wife, Nadira.

In a past interview with Lehren Retro, Juhi Babbar opened up about her bond with her stepbrother Prateik, emphasizing that there was never a question of accepting him into the family. She stated, “Accepting isn’t the word because Prateik is my brother. There wasn’t any hesitation. He is my brother and nobody can change that fact.”
