Parmeet Sethi was never insecure about wife Archana Puran Singh’s success, says son Aaryamann: ‘Mom said no to many films, shows for us’

Aaryamann Sethi opened up about his parents' relationship, revealing that they turned down film offers to be present during his and his brother's growing-up years.

Archana Puran Singh’s YouTube channel and her light-hearted vlogs featuring husband Parmeet Sethi, along with their sons Ayushmaan and Aaryamann Sethi, have resulted in a lot of popularity for the family online. The vlogs are drawing attention for the family’s vibrant chemistry and the fun, candid way they poke fun at one another. Now, in a recent conversation with Live Hindustan, Aaryamann opened up about the dynamic between his parents, particularly how his father has always supported his mother’s success without insecurity, even though she has been the more popular on screen star.

“My dad is so confident in himself that he was never insecure about somebody getting more popularity than him,” Aaryamann said. “He loves my mother, he is happy if she is happy. Mom doesn’t need any protection, but she knows that if she needs him, he will be there. There is no power struggle between them. They love each other, they are one team, and if one wins, the other automatically wins.”

Aaryamann also reflected on how, despite their busy careers, both his parents prioritised family time and were deeply involved in his and his brother’s upbringing. “Both were always there, they were a team, and in fact, they left a lot of opportunities so that they could be there for us,” he shared.

“Mom said no to many films and shows. We even had a production house, but we closed it because they wanted to spend time with us. Mom was almost always there, whenever we returned from school, she was there. And in my entire childhood, I used to play football, I even played professionally, my dad was always there for every match. He was, in fact, my coach,” he added.

Aaryamann Sethi gained a following after appearing in his mother’s AAAP vlogs, but in August, he launched his own YouTube channel to promote his new song Madhubala, which stars actor Yogita Bihani. During a 30-day vlog challenge on his channel, Aaryamann confirmed his relationship with Yogita, proposed to her, and the couple has since moved in together into a cozy section of his parents’ home in Madh Island. His channel Aary Vlogs continues to post regular vlogs.
