Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra exchanged rings with politician Raghav Chadha on May 13, in an intimate ceremony in Delhi. Parineeti, who has never spoken about her love story with Raghav, recently took to social media to share how one breakfast with Raghav made her realise that he is the one for her. The actor also shared a series of photos from her engagement ceremony, which also featured her cousin Priyanka Chopra.

Parineeti, in an Instagram post, shared that her engagement ceremony was ‘overflowing’ with emotions. She shared a couple of pictures of herself with her fiance Raghav, one of which had the politician wiping off tears from her face. Another one had the actor posing with her two brothers Sahaj and Shivang. One of the photos also had Priyanka Chopra putting ‘teeka’ on Raghav’s forehead during the engagement ceremony.

In the caption, Parineeti expressed her love for Raghav as she wrote, “When you know, you know. One breakfast together and I knew – I had met the one. The most wonderful man whose quiet strength would be calming, peaceful and inspiring. His support, humour, wit and friendship are pure joy. He is my home.”

Describing her engagement ceremony as a ‘dream’, the Saina actor continued, “Our engagement party was like living a dream – a dream unfurling beautifully amidst love, laughter, emotion and loads of dancing! As we hugged those we loved dearest and celebrated with them, emotions overflowed.”

Parineeti, who admits to being in awe of princess stories, shared that she had always imagined her ‘fairytale’ and as she lives it now, she believes, “it is even better than I had imagined.”

Raghav Chadha also shared the same photos on his page and wrote a sweet note for his lady love. The AAP member penned, “And one fine day, this beautiful girl entered my life, adding a colourful dash of smiles, laughter and sparkle to brighten it up, and whose gentle, reassuring embrace promised eternal love and support. No wonder our engagement was such a happy occasion where tears of joy, laughter, happiness and merry dancing brought our loved ones even closer – quintessentially the Punjabi way.”

Raghav and Parineeti maintained secrecy around their relationship until the day of their engagement. After the engagement, Parineeti shared several pictures from the ceremony and has also been vocal about her love for Raghav. The wedding date of the actor is yet to be announced.

The couple has known each other for a considerable amount of time and met in London. Their friendship is said to have blossomed into love after reconnecting on the sets of Parineeti and Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming feature, Chamkila.
