Socialite and social media influencer Orhan Awatramani aka Orry was questioned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police in connection with a Rs 252-crore drugs case on Wednesday. Just hours later, he shared a controversial video on social media where he was seen showing the middle finger. He posted a video of himself partying, showing the middle finger, urging everyone to ‘let him live’.
On Wednesday, Orry took to his Instagram handle and dropped a clip of dancing his heart out at a party. Along with the video, his caption read, ‘Just let me live’, and he wrote on the clip, ‘I am a liver’. The background hinted that he was out partying, as bright flashing stage lights made it look like a concert set-up.
In the video, Orry was seen in a shimmery, black mesh top. The content creator was seen dancing enthusiastically to Don’s popular song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’. In fact, he was also jumping to the track’s beat and making different hand gestures, including showing a middle finger to the camera. He also shouted ‘I am a liver’ while throwing his hands in the air.
The video is from a wedding reception that was held earlier this week and was attended by actor Ranveer Singh. Singer AP Dhillon also performed at the event. Orry had shared a video from the same party earlier as well featuring Ranveer and AP Dhillon.
While he didn’t mention the case in the video or caption directly, netizens were quick to speculate and drop witty comments. “Posting this mid questioning break,” a person wrote. “Pov :People be hating on me while im at a party doing this,” another one commented. “how are you posting from jail,” a social media user asked, to which Orry also replied, “it’s called Wi-Fi.”
On Wednesday, Orry appeared for investigation in the Rs 252-crore drugs case. Many videos and photos of him leaving the office surfaced on social media. In the snaps, he was seen getting mobbed by people and paparazzi gathered to capture him, as he tried to avoid getting papped.
Orry was summoned for questioning after claims made by alleged drug trafficker Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh. Shaikh, was recently deported from Dubai in connection with a narcotics case, allegedly named several celebrities, including Orry, as people who had attended his “drug parties” in the UAE.
Orry was summoned last week but sought more time for his appearance stating that he was out of the city. A police officer said, “Orry appeared before the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) on Wednesday, and his statement was recorded in connection with allegations made by the accused in the case.”
Earlier, actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor also appeared before the Anti-Narcotics Cell regarding the same drugs case.
