Orhan Awatramani aka Orry was once a mystery and back then netizens wondered what he does for a living, where did he study, where he did grow up and almost no one had an answer to all these questions. Now, Orry is trying to be an open book or at least that’s how it is starting to come across on his YouTube vlogs. On a recent vlog, Orry gave a tour of his alma mater in Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu where he spent most of his childhood at a boarding school.
Orry, in his almost 40-minute vlog, said that he wanted to travel in a train to Kodaikanal but was quite shocked when he discovered that there weren’t any drinks or snacks on the train and it “wasn’t like the train on Harry Potter”. As he reached his school and met the kids studying there, they called him “the most relevant person in the world,” which pleased Orry quite a lot.
At one point, Orry revealed that he was the Regina George of his school where he created a ‘Burn Book’ just like Mean Girls, and called himself a “inconsiderate social climber”. Not just that, he would also frequently make up gossip about himself so people would have something to discuss about him. He also shared an anecdote where his favourite teacher called him a “pretender”. The nickname caught on and soon, everyone was calling him a “pretender”.

Orry had maintained the secrecy around his profession which often made people wonder what he did for a living. It was this question that gave birth to his now meme-worthy answer ‘I am a liver’.
Orry first came to the spotlight as he was frequently clicked with Bollywood celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday. In the many interviews he has given since then, Orry has discussed his education, how he makes money and how much he charges per appearance.
