Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan-starrer Chhorii 2’s teaser hints at a more sinister tale

Amazon Prime Video unveiled the teaser for Chhorii 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 horror film Chhorii, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha, on Tuesday. Joining Nushrratt in the second installment is Soha Ali Khan, who takes on a pivotal role in the chilling saga. The horror drama is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video starting April 11, 2025.

The Instagram handle of the OTT platform announced the release date while sharing the teaser. The caption read, “Ek baar phir…woh khet, woh khatra, woh khauf… #Chhorii2OnPrime, April 11.”

Chhorii 2 showcases the events seven years after the first part. The focus will again be on Sakshi, who is living with her daughter, Ishani, away from the fears of their past. But, Ishani suffers from a rare condition that forces her to stay in darkness, as sunlight can kill her. The situation takes a scary turn when a ghostly figure comes into Ishani’s room and she vanishes. With Inspector Samar’s help, Sakshi has to go back to the village of horrors to look for Ishaani, where she also meets Daasi, a shape-shifting priestess.

The teaser is packed with eerie chills and edge-of-the-seat suspense, setting the tone for a gripping horror saga. While Nushrratt Bharuccha looks set to uphold her reputation as a scream queen, Soha Ali Khan’s eerie transformation is the icing on the cake.

Besides Soha Ali Khan and Nushrratt Bharuccha, Chhorii 2 also stars Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma. The film is directed by Vishal Furia and backed by T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, Psych, and Tamarisk Lane Production.
