Mufasa: The Lion King is gearing up for release on December 20. The Disney film will release in several languages including Indian languages such as Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. While the movie franchise already enjoys a massive following in India, the involvement of Shah Rukh Khan in its Hindi version has doubled fans’ excitement. Amid all the positive buzz, a poster of the film has become a topic of discussion.

The newest Hindi poster of Mufasa shares the details of the Indian artistes involved in the film as voice actors. This included the names of Shah Rukh Khan, Abram Khan, Aryan Khan, veteran actors Makarand Deshpande and Sanjay Mishra, Shreyas Talpade, and Meiyang Chang. What caught people’s attention here is the placement of the names and the fonts used for the same. While Shah Rukh and his sons’ names were all written in bold letters, the names of the other artistes were written below them in smaller fonts.

This caught the attention of Marathi actor Saorabh Rajnish Choughule who took to his Instagram handle to criticise the poster of Mufasa: The Lion King. He wrote in Marathi: “Shahrukh Khan can understand….but why are Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan’s names in BOLD??? How wrong is it to write the names of other veterans Makrand Deshpande, Sanjay Mishra, Shreyas Talpade as secondary? Of course, the contribution of all of them to the film industry is more than Aryan Khan and Abram Khan.”

This story was reshared by several other Marathi actors including Bigg Boss Marathi contestant Yogita Chavan.

Mufasa: The Lion King is the prequel of Lion King. The story will take audience back to the journey of Mufasa’s rise as the legendary King. Mufasa will mark the debut of Abram Khan, who has voiced young Mufasa alongside Shah Rukh Khan as the adult Mufasa and Aryan Khan as Simba.
