Mithun Chakraborty‘s son Namashi Chakraborty will soon be seen in the Zee Studios movie Bad Boy. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers released a new track from the feature called “Janabe Ali” featuring the lead pair Namashi and Amrin. Later, they are joined by Mithun as the trio does the hook step of the song together.

The three of them coming together is easily the highlight of the number, as it has nothing else going for it. Mithun still has the charisma and charm he had during his Disco Dancer days, especially when he takes to the floor, and that small bit is the saving grace of this otherwise forgettable song. Both the choreography and music seem dated, the kind of Bollywood dance music that perhaps peaked around 2006-2007. The music and vocals have been given by Himesh Reshammiya, while the generic lyrics have also been penned by the composer.

Bad Boy has been bankrolled by Anjum Qureshi and Sajid Qureshi under the banner Inbox Pictures. It has been directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who has given some memorable movies to Hindi cinema in the past, including Andaz Apna Apna and Ghayal. Besides Amrin and Namashi, the movie also stars Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Darshan Jariwala and Saswata Chatterjee in significant roles.

Bad Boy is set to release on April 28 this year.
