Milind Soman is a model, actor, fitness icon, and Ironman triathlete and even at 60 he continues to redefine ageing and wellness in India. Milind is known for his timeless charm and extraordinary discipline, and he has indeed inspired generations to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle. Whether it’s running barefoot marathons or promoting sustainable fitness, the 60-year-old remains a symbol of endurance, balance, and self-belief.
Milind Soman recently turned 60 on November 4 and he continues to defy every stereotype about ageing and fitness. Recently, speaking to Bombay Times, he shared how crossing this age milestone felt less like getting older and more like a reminder of everything that discipline, balance, and consistency can achieve.
While most people slow down at his age, Milind Soman is out there running marathons, cycling across ghats, and inspiring millions. The actor shared in his interaction that age doesn’t slow you down; inconsistency and indiscipline do. He also added how at 60, he feels stronger, lighter, and freer than he did at 30.
The actor shared that he first took on the Ironman challenge at 50, which tested his willpower and endurance. But staying active, eating clean, and respecting one’s body have been the cornerstones of his fitness journey.
The actor added that your body doesn’t decide how old you are, but your attitude does.
Soman also drew parallels between his outlook and Shah Rukh Khan’s. He said that SRK is redefining what 60 looks like by pursuing joy through his work, and that he tries to do the same through fitness and adventure. For Milind, staying young is about living with purpose — whether through running, cycling, or simply waking up excited for the day. “If you wake up excited every day, 60 can feel like 40 — or even 25,” added the actor.
On the personal front, Milind Soman is married to Ankita Konwar since 2018. Milind Soman is best known for his work in movies like 16 December, Chef, and Bajirao Mastani and more.
