Mallika Sherawat auditioned for Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’

Mallika Sherawat wrote that she would love to be a part of Aamir Khan's Dangal.

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is eyeing a major role opposite Aamir Khan in his next film ‘Dangal’. The actress, who hails from Haryana, was last seen in a de-glam avatar on screen in recently released ‘Dirty Politics’.

According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, the ‘Hiss’ actress had auditioned for casting director Mukesh Chabbra to play Aamir Khan’s better half.

Sharing the image of that article, Mallika wrote that she would love to be a part of Dangal.

The report further suggests that Mallika was seen in a simple salwar kameez at the auditions. “She had no make-up and rattled off the pages of dialogue she knew by heart in shudh Haryanvi. The Jat accent that might stump other actresses, comes naturally to her since she’s from the state,” the source told Mumbai Mirror.

‘Dangal’ is based on the real life story of wrestler Mahavir Singh and his famous daughter Geeta and Babita Phogat and the relationship between them. The film is set to go on the floors in September this year.
