Actor Madhoo, who has been a part of multiple successful projects in the past such as Roja, Phool Aur Kaante and Gentleman, recently opened up about her journey in cinema. Madhoo has actively dabbled in various industries, including working in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu as well as Malayalam films.
But did you know that Madhoo was once approached to be a part of Shah Rukh Khan‘s earlier movies, Baazigar? By her own admission, the actor was offered the role of Shilpa Shetty, who played Khan’s girlfriend in the movie, who he ends up killing.
Speaking to Times of India, Madhoo said she has ‘no regrets’ about turning down the movie as she was busy with numerous projects at the time: “I don’t want to erase any experiences in life,” said the actor. Interestingly, Madhoo happens to be a big fan-girl of SRK, whom she tagged as ‘God.’
“Even when his films flop, he doesn’t do well at the box office or he does horrible work, he is just like a God,” Madhoo gushed as she shared that the superstar happens to be one of her first screen crushes. Madhoo had made her debut in the movies in 1991 with the Tamil feature Azhagan, which she followed it up with Ajay Devgn’s debut movie Phool Aur Kaante, in the same year.
On the work front, Madhoo was last seen in the Kannada feature Raymo, which starred Ishaan and Ashika Ranganath in pivotal roles. It had released last year in November. The actor also has the Netflix anthology Vilpana and the Malayalam feature Ennitu Avasanam in her kitty.
