Khichdi 2 teaser: After Pathaan and Tiger, Hansa and Praful are now on a secret mission

Beloved characters of the small screen — Hansa, Praful, Himanshu, Bapuji, and Jayshree Bhabhi are coming back and with them, they are bringing a dose of laughter and entertainment. On Saturday, the makers of Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukhistan, shared a glimpse into the Parekh family’s latest escapade.

The teaser kicks off with Himanshu (Jamnadas Majethia) revealing that, just like the renowned on-screen spies, Salman Khan’s Tiger and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, the Parekh family has its own secret mission. He humorously states, “Every mission is impossible. While someone has Tiger to complete it, others have Pathaan.”

The video then shows an influential individual offering the Parekh family Rs 5 crore in exchange for a task, which eventually leads the family to a fictional country, called Paanthukistan. The teaser sends fans of Hansa (Supriya Pathak) on a nostalgia ride as she, in her peculiar way, says, ‘main toh thak gayi’. Kirti Kulhari, who was part of the first Khichdi film, is set to reprise her role in Khichdi 2. Pratik Gandhi, famous for his role in Scam 1992, makes a cameo appearance in the film.

Khichdi was a popular TV show and one of the earliest in India to adopt the Western model of appearing in seasons. The second season, titled Instant Khichdi, made its debut on STAR Plus’s sister channel, STAR One. Later, a film, Khichdi: The Movie, was made based on the previous two TV series. However, it failed to pull people to the cinema halls.

Now, the makers are ready to entertain their audience once again with the release of their second film, Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukhistan.

Written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Jamnadas Majethia (JD), Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukhistan features Supriya Pathak Kapoor, Jamnadas Majethia (JD), Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, Vandana Pathak, and Kirti Kulhari in lead roles. The film is set to hit theatres on November 17.
