This Friday, Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 will see a surprise, as son Abhishek Bachchan will join him on the hot seat. Abhishek, along with director R Balki and actor Saiyami Kher will be on the show to promote their new film Ghoomer. In the promo shared by Sony TV, Big B is seen doing a drunk scene, leaving everyone in splits.

In the video, R Balki requested Amitabh Bachchan to do a drunk scene for them. Amused at his request at first, he went on to act like a drunk man and delivered a dialogue about how others shouldn’t have come drunk. As a woman loudly exclaims how she loved him, he gestured for her to keep quiet and added with a smirk, “Madam aap humko bolne do na, kitni baar bola hai daaru pi ke nahi aane ka (Let me speak madam. I have told you not to come inebriated).” His statement left son Abhishek Bachchan laughing out loud as Saiyami Kher and Balki also cheered for him.

Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan share a warm bond and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Recently, the iconic actor watched his son’s film Ghoomer, not just once but twice, and took to his official blog to shower praises on it, mentioning that it deeply touched him and even brought tears to his eyes.

“So yes, I saw GHOOMER back to back twice… Sunday afternoon… and then at night again… and the verdict is beyond mention… simply INCREDIBLE… eyes have been in the aqua flow from the very first frame… and when the progeny is involved, they flow copiously. “Each reaction has some wonder in their thoughts and words and deeds… each notices something that is so endearing and appealing… the emotions relate to yes the game of cricket and the tale of a girl and her ambition… but it is really the feel of the depiction and its impress upon not just the game, but of the effect of family, of the Mother, of what middle India stands for in our lives,” a part of his blog read.

Son Abhishek Bachchan, during a chat with indianexpress.com, addressed his father’s social media display of affection. “It is wonderful,” he said, adding, “But times you feel it’s a bit excessive, it’s embarrassing and I told him that once, ‘Hey, can you just back of a bit? Take your foot off the accelerator!’ But we forget, he is also a father. I am a father today and I know the raw emotion that comes with a child. You can’t blame him.”

The actor said the megastar was previously never public with his expression. It has taken a lot for Amitabh Bachchan to openly celebrate his work.

“He has finally mustered up the courage to be public about it. He never used to before. He was very shy, almost very scared of expressing his opinions and emotions about it. But he is not doing it (praising me) blindly. I know if there is a scene or a film that he has not liked, or he feels it could have been better, he tells me honestly. We forget that apart from being a huge icon, he is also a father. I hope he is proud of me and I will work towards making proud,” he added.
