On Wednesday, Bollywood was in a joyous mood as they got together to celebrate Karwa Chauth. It was the first time for Parineeti Chopra and Kiara Advani to celebrate the festival and they seemed to have enjoyed every bit of it. Apart from them, Katrina Kaif looked like a new bride in her red saree and finery as she posed with Vicky Kaushal and her in-laws on Karwa Chauth.
Priyanka Chopra, who was in Mumbai, also participated in the puja, while missing husband Nick Jonas. She shared a photo of the decorated sieve with a diya, while waiting for the moon to be seen. “Happy Karwa Chauth to everyone celebrating,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji and tagging Nick. In the next picture, she also informed fans of her departure from the city as she wrote, “Wil miss you Mumbai. Alvida meri jaan… see you soon.”
Sidharth Malhotra shared a photo of Kiara Advani looking at him through the sieve, as part of the ritual. He captioned the post, “Blessed”. In the picture, Kiara looked lovely in her pink salwar-suit, while the Shershaah actor opted for a red kurta. He seemed to be lost in love as he looked at his wife doing the puja.
Katrina Kaif looked gorgeous in her red saree that she matched with a rust-coloured blouse. She also wore her mangalsutra and sindoor, looking like a new bride. Vicky Kaushal, on the other hand, wore a simple white kurta-pyjama with silver embroidery. In one photo, he too lovingly stares at his wife, as they both laugh over something. Katrina also shared a photo with her in-laws Sam Kaushal and Veena Kaushal, who joined them for the festivities.
Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik, who is expecting her first baby, also celebrated Karwa Chauth. As husband Abhinav Shukla was not in town, she completed her fast while on a video call with him. The actor looked gorgeous in her beige saree with a blue shimmery border. She also wore traditional Himachali jewelery to complete her look.
Prince Narula and Yuvika Choudhary also shared photos from their celebrations in the evening. While Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Krishna Mukherjee celebrated her first Karwa Chauth, Divyanka Tripathi made the most of the occasion with husband Vivek Dahiya. Bharti Singh also got together with her girlfriends to celebrate and even shared a fun video trying the viral ‘Just looking like a waow’ trend. Kapil Sharma’s wife Ginni Chatrath also joined Bharti and other ladies in the evening.
Several other Bollywood celebrities such as Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Mira Kapoor went to Anil Kapoor’s house, where his wife Sunita Kapoor hosted a Karwa Chauth celebration. Varun Dhawan and wife Natasha Dala also celebrated the festival as they shared sweet photos of them posing together in traditional looks.
