Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan discussed her marriage with Saif Ali Khan, stating that she didn’t dwell on the age difference between them, nor was she concerned about their different faiths. At Express Adda in Mumbai on Monday, Kareena said that people spend more time discussing interfaith relationships than they should, and added that it does not matter.
When Kareena was asked what she would say to the naysayers who trolled her for their age difference, she responded, “When has age ever matter, he is hotter than ever. I am happy I am 10 years younger, he should be worried. No one would say he has turned 53. Age does not matter, what matters is respect and love and the fact that we have fun with each other.”
The Jab We Met actor also said that Saif used to be concerned that he couldn’t match her energy and would jokingly ask if she planned to party until 3 in the morning. However, she shared that they have since found a similar wavelength, and now their days usually wrap up by 11:30 pm.
Kareena added, “We spend so much time discussing interfaith (relationships). So much energy, so much that they are 10 years apart. The important thing is to have fun. The most important thing between Saif and I is that we like each other and enjoy our company. How should it matter what faith he follows or what his age is that isn’t even a point of discussion.”
On the work front, Kareena is all set to make her OTT debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s Jaane Jaan. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma and Lin Laishram.
