Kareena Kapoor is the highest tax-paying female celebrity in India, according to Fortune India 2024. According to the report, Kareena with her films, endorsements, and business ventures has paid a massive amount in taxes, surpassing all her female counterparts including Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. As per the list, the Crew star paid tax of Rs 20 crore. Kareena is followed by her Good Newzz co-star Kiara Advani, who paid Rs 12 crore in taxes. The third Bollywood actress to feature in the list is Katrina Kaif, who paid Rs 11 crore. They were the only three female celebrity to feature in the list this year.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is the highest tax-payer among all the Indian celebrities in 2024. According to the Fortune India report, the actor has paid a total of Rs 92 crore. The Dunki star is followed by Thalapathy Vijay, who paid Rs 80 crore and Salman Khan, who gave a tax of Rs 75 crore. Meanwhile, this makes Vijay the only South star to make it to the top 3 in the list of highest tax-payer. The actor’s much-awaited film GOAT: Greatest of All Time released in theatres on September 5. The other two South stars to make it to the list are Mohanlal and Allu Arjun with a tax of Rs 14 crore each.

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her upcoming thriller film Buckingham Murders. The film, produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, is directed by Hansal Mehta. The film is set in London. She was last seen in the films Crew and Jaane Jaan, which had a direct-to-OTT release on Netflix, also starring actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
