Kareena Kapoor asks Ranbir Kapoor when he decided to settle down with ‘daal-chawal’ Alia Bhatt

Ranbir Kapoor will appear as the first guest on the new season of his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan’s talk show, What Women Want. A promo for the episode was released online on Monday. In the minute-long promo, Ranbir touched on a bunch of different topics, including his wife Alia Bhatt, and their newborn baby daughter, Raha.

“I want to talk about all the big events that happened in the last one year,” Kareena told Ranbir in the promo, as he complained that they only seem to meet ‘on couches’, perhaps making a reference to their joint appearance on Koffee with Karan. Kareena asked Ranbir if he has changed his daughter’s diaper yet, and he replied, “I have changed her diaper, but I am more of a master in burping.”

Kareena then presented Ranbir with a statement, which he was asked to react to. She said, “Women actors shouldn’t be taller than male actors,” and Ranbir responded, “The three Khans aren’t that tall, and they work with all actresses.” Making a reference to Ranbir’s earlier comment about Alia being like ‘daal-chawal’, she asked him when he realised that he’s ready to settle down with her, and he replied, “I would like to consider I’m a good husband.”

The episode will be unveiled on the Mirchi Plus app on Wednesday, and on YouTube on Friday. Kareena’s show comes on the heels of a similar chat show hosted by Arbaaz Khan, in which he featured yesteryear icons as the guests.

Ranbir can currently be seen in director Luv Ranjan’s romantic drama Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which was released on Holi last week, and has so far made around Rs 70 crore. Ranbir will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, while Kareena will make her streaming debut with The Devotion of Supect X, and will also star in a mystery series from Hansal Mehta.
