‘Kangana Ranaut wants to attack people, pull them down,’ says Rajeev Masand: ‘Now she is more focused on other things than acting’

In a recent interview, former Journalist Rajeev Masand talked about Kangana Ranaut, who once accused him of writing 'poisonous blind items' about her.

Kangana Ranaut was seen as one of the most promising actors when she started her journey in Hindi cinema and as per former journalist Rajeev Masand, Kangana is still one of the best actresses in India, along with Alia Bhatt. But, he added, that now, Kangana is “more focused on other things than acting” and said that she “wants to attack people.”

In an interview with the YouTube channel Shaardulogy, Rajeev Masand said, “I love Kangana as an actress. She is incredible and I genuinely feel that between her and Alia, they are the two best actresses of the country. But, I think now she is more focused on other things than acting. I mean she wants to pull people down, she wants to attack people.” When told that he was one of Kangana’s “favourite”, Rajeev laughed and said, “I was, I think now I am not important enough to be her favourite.”

Kangana and Rajeev have had a tiff in the past and recalling that, he said it was “funny”. When Rajeev joined Dharma Cornerstone Agency as its COO in 2021. The actress had a strong response to it and wrote on her X handle, “Rajeev wrote the most poisonous blind items about Sushant and me, he openly licked mediocre star kids and gave negative reviews to genuinely good films, even as a journalist he was always KJO minion. Good he left jurno facade and joined KJO officially.”

Talking about his bonding with the actress, Rajeev said, “It’s funny because we have done so many great interviews together and she was also someone I knew incredibly well. She was one of the first actresses to be part of my roundtable. She is just the most amazing actress. But, its her choice. I don’t think she loves me, but I think I can live with that.”

When asked how would it be to see Kangana and Karan Johar in the Bigg Boss house, Rajeev laughed and said, “It will be great but I don’t think either will want to go. They have more important things to do in their life. But, my god, it will be great fun to watch them in Bigg Boss.”

Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen in the film Emergency, which is also being directed by her.
