Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing up for the release of her next film Emergency, recently said that there was a “conspiracy” against her in the film industry and it affected the making of her film. In one of her recent interviews, the actress alleged that many casting directors, cinematographers and actors refused to work with her.
In an interview with The Times of India, Kangana said there was a lot of conspiracy against her with people calling other actors beforehand and instructing them to not to work with her. She said, “Several casting directors, and DOPs refused to work with me. Actors were receiving calls to not work with me. There was a lot of conspiracy against me.”
The actor-director then called herself fortunate enough that despite all the troubles, she got to work with actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Kaushik, and Mahima Choudhary, among others. She said that “it’s the best feeling in the world” when people agree to work with you in adverse circumstances. She further claimed, her Emergency cast didn’t just agree to work with her but also treated her with immense respect and love.
Previously, during the trailer launch event of Emergency, she spoke about the conspiracy against her. While addressing the media and the audience, the actress said, “I have faced many obstacles while making this film. Every film faces a lot of obstacles and then they find many angels who support you through those obstacles. I want to say a special thanks to my cast.”
She added, “Everybody knows I have been boycotted by the film industry Its not easy to stand with me, its not easy to be part of my film, and its definitely not easy to praise me. But, they (Emergency cast) have done all of it.”
Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency is all set to hit the big screen on September 6.
