Actress Kajol is all set to appear as a cop for the first time on screen in the Netflix film Do Patti. The movie also stars Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh in pivotal roles. At the film’s trailer launch, Kajol shared with indianexpress.com her take on betrayals and if she has faced one in real life.
She stated ‘betrayals are always too personal’ and said, “Everybody goes through a betrayal in life. You feel it as a child sometimes. You feel it as an adult at some point in life for sure. If not, you haven’t lived life or been a monk under a tree. We all have felt betrayals.”

She added how Do Patti shows betrayals quite well. “We have portrayed it quite well in the film. There are too many knots in the film. You will get tired of the betrayal you see in the film.”
When asked if she is nervous playing a cop on screen, Kajol said, “When you actually wear a uniform, there is a sense of respect that comes in. I am never nervous for any of my films that released. I give all my heart to my job, and when I do that, I have 100 per cent faith in myself. Everyone has a different perspective. Some will like it, and some won’t, but that’s a different situation. We work for audiences to love us. I appreciate that love.”
Kajol was also asked if she took any tips from husband Ajay Devgn, who plays the heroic cop Singham on screen. Kajol quipped, “I have always said this on every stage: I am the Singham at home. As for this role, I didn’t take any tips from Ajay.”
Do Patti is produced by Kanika Dhillon and Kriti Sanon. The film releases on Netflix on October 25.
