Kajol on attention daughter Nysa Devgn receives: ‘She’s 19 and having fun’

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kajol said, “I feel proud of her, of course. I love the fact that Nysa conducts herself with dignity wherever she goes. All I can say is, she is 19 and is having fun. She has the right to do whatever she wants to do and I will always support her.” When asked about how she is unbothered about the race to be the biggest star, Kajol said she never bothered about the numbers game and how popular she was with audience even when she was at the peak of her career: “I never worried about being a part of a group or following the trend or being at the number one spot in the rat race. I never thought about all that.”

And finally, Kajol, who has always been forthcoming about her opinions and how she deals with naysayers, had a parting advice for those who don’t mind their own business like she does, stating that she only treats people like how she would want to be treated. “My mum (actor Tanuja) would always say, ‘You should treat others like how you would expect yourself to be treated’. Bahut maar-maar ke yeh sikhaya gaya hai (This has been ingrained into us). I grew up with [this idea of inclusivity],” the actor concluded.

On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the Revathy directorial Salaam Venky. The actor is said to be playing the lead role in the upcoming Disney Plus Hotstar series The Good Wife.
