Jaya Bachchan often makes headlines for her perceived rude behavior in public. However, her Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani co-star Anjali Anand has a contrasting view of the veteran star. According to Anjali, Jaya is “not even one percent” like the person she appears to be in videos where she seems to lose her cool.

In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Anjali said: “She’s a grandmother, so she’s walking with her granddaughter and someone is coming (with their phone). She doesn’t know what paps look like… she doesn’t walk on the streets, they all live in their palaces, they roam around in their cars. They’re done, now they are resting.”

She added, “She’s a sweetheart, she has fed me when I’m hungry. She has made me laugh in the middle of scenes. We used to hang out the most. I used to hang out only with her because all my scenes were with her. It’s so much fun, she’s such a fun person. The first thing she’ll do when she comes is pull everyone’s leg. And she’ll say the funniest of things. She’s not even one percent of what people show…not at all.”

Jaya Bachchan recently made headlines after a video of her pushing a man at the Constitution Club in New Delhi went viral. The veteran actor and Rajya Sabha MP was seen speaking with fellow parliamentarians Misa Bharti and Priyanka Chaturvedi when a man approached her for a selfie. In the clip, Jaya was seen pushing him away, visibly annoyed by the intrusion.

The incident quickly sparked debate online, leaving netizens divided. While a section of social media users criticised Jaya for being “rude” and “arrogant,” others came to her defense, arguing that the man was wrong to invade her personal space and click a picture without her consent.
