Veteran actor Jaya Bachchan visited Aditya Chopra’s house in Mumbai on Friday to mourn the demise of Pamela Chopra, Aditya’s mother and wife of late filmmaker Yash Chopra. Daughter Shweta Bachchan accompanied Jaya as she arrived to offer condolences to the Chopra family. Pamela Chopra died of pneumonia at the age of 74.
Videos of Jaya entering the Chopra house surfaced on social media, where she once again was not pleased with the presence of paparazzi around her. In one of the videos, she is heard instructing the photographers to maintain distance. She said in a stern tone, “Please keep distance.” In another video, she told them to stop clicking her pictures. “Bohot ho gaya abhi, peeche jaaiye (It’s enough now, go back now),” she said. Shweta walked beside her mother without saying anything.
Later, a few pictures of Jaya and Shweta Bachchan interacting with Rani Mukerji, Pamela Chopra’s daughter-in-law, emerged online. Amitabh Bachchan had visited the family on Thursday, along with his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Big B also wrote a heartfelt condolence for Pamela on his blog. He wrote, “A quick visit to Yash ji’s home and meeting the family and reliving all those years of the past .. life is so unpredictable and tough ..”
Besides Jaya and Shweta, many other celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn and Kajol visited Aditya Chopra’s house.
On Thursday, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal were photographed entering Aditya Chopra’s house to pay their last respects to Pamela Chopra.
