The Mumbai Police’s Umang event, which was organised in December last year, is set to air on Sony TV on January 27. Ahead of the television broadcast, new promotional videos of the show has been released, featuring Shah Rukh Khan dancing to the hit songs of his blockbuster film Jawan. Salman Khan is also seen engaging in a playful banter with the show’s hosts, comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
The promo clip kicks off with SRK’s grand entry, accompanied by the title track of Jawan playing in the background. He is also seen dancing to the film’s song “Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya.” King Khan also delivered his viral dialogue from his film Pathaan — “Pathaan ke ghar mein party rakhoge toh mehman nawazi ke liye Pathaan toh aaega he.”
On the stage, Salman Khan is joined by the show’s hosts, Harsh and Bharti. Harsh humorously remarks that they observed only a few police personnel at the event and were informed that the rest were with Salman Khan. This comment seems to be a reference to Salman’s extensive security, particularly after he received death threats last year.
Discussing Mumbai Police, Salman jokingly said, “Har report chali jati hai waha pe. Aaj bade pyar mohabbat se baatchit hui, aaj ye hua, aaj wo hua, aaj zyada ho gai (They get to know about all my activities. Today, they spoke to me very sweetly about this and that and how they got drunk a bit too much today).”
Sony TV’s official Instagram page shared the video with the caption, “Stage par jab aaye Pathaan aur Bhaijaan, jhoom uthenge saare jawaan (All the Jawans will rejoice when Pathaan and Bhaijaan will come on stage)!”
Another clip features snapshots of Ranveer Singh dancing to the hit song “What Jhumka” from his film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, while Ranbir Kapoor delivers a dialogue from his film Animal and dances to the song “Pyaar Hota Kayi Baar Hai.”
In a separate promo clip, the show highlights the celebrities who attended the Umang event, including Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Rohit Shetty, Madhuri Dixit, Vicky Kaushal, Shilpa Shetty, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rajkummar Rao, and more.
