Actor Aaliyah Qureishi, who plays one of the six girls in Shah Rukh Khan’s core team in Jawan, recently recalled how King Khan arranged for a jam session on the set of the film and also shared with her that his younger son AbRam is ‘really into music’. In a new interview, Aaliyah remembered being introduced to Shah Rukh as a musician by his manager Pooja Dadlani.
After knowing that Aaliyah is a musician, Shah Rukh told her about AbRam having a home studio and discussed his interest in music with her. SRK also told her that he will hold a jam session on the set of Jawan.
Aaliyah shared with India Today, “He said, ‘Oh you know, AbRam also has a little home studio. He’s also really into music. Tomorrow after dinner, we’ll jam.’” Aaliyah thought that Shah Rukh won’t conduct the jam session, and it’s a thing he said in passing. But she was proven wrong when Bollywood Badshah’s arranged for guitars, mics and speakers for the jam session.
She shared, “I thought he had said it just like that because it’s a big set and you forget, you get busy. But he remembered and he actually got two guitars, a mic stand, a mic, a speaker, he got a whole home set up. I played him some of my original music and it was just really nice.”
On Thursday, Aaliyah posted pictures from the private screening of Jawan, where she posed with Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone. Along with the photos, she wrote, “HAPPY JAWAN DAY 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 #Jawan #JawanGirls #GoodToGoChief.”
Jawan was released in cinema halls on Thursday and within a day, it earned approximately Rs 75 crore. It received a warm response from the audience, and film critics were all praise for the mass entertainer. Even celebrities from the film industry showered praises on the entire team of the movie.
