From a charming white-themed mehendi ceremony to a lively pyjama party and a dazzling sangeet, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding celebrations in Udaipur have unfolded like a fairy tale. On Wednesday, the couple exchanged vows in a grand ceremony. Nupur and Ira previously registered their marriage in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on January 3, which famously saw Nupur jogging to the venue.
Both Ira and Nupur exuded elegance on their wedding day. In the video capturing their special moment, Ira looked stunning in a white lace gown. Nupur complemented her perfectly, donning a beige and white suit. Ira’s bridesmaids were a vision in green gowns during the evening ceremony. The heartwarming clip showcases the couple walking hand-in-hand as the wedding ceremony concludes. The guests are seen showering them with white flowers in the clip.
On Tuesday, the couple hosted a sangeet ceremony. They made a royal entrance on the occasion with Ira Khan looking resplendent in a heavily embroidered lehenga with a maroon velvet hood-like trail, while Nupur Shikhare opted for a sharp party suit. The event also saw Aamir Khan, his second ex-wife Kiran Rao, and their son Azad sing “Phoolan Ka Taron Ka” for Ira. They also played Hindustani classical musical instruments on stage.
Monday’s mehendi ceremony at the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur was a vision in white. Ira adorned a traditional white attire for the ceremony, while Nupur sported a casual look with a pink shirt and pants. Ira also opted for an arm-length mehendi for her bridal look. She grooved with her bridesmaids on the occasion and Nupur was seen showing off his dance moves with his friend and actor Mithila Palkar at the ceremony.
Following the mehendi, the couple transitioned into a more casual setting with a lively pyjama party. Nupur exhibited his dancing prowess in a lungi, dancing to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic track “Lungi Dance,” while Ira enjoyed dancing with her friends.
Ira Khan is the younger daughter of Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta. Aamir, who was previously married to Kiran Rao for 15 years, announced their divorce in July 2021. Despite parting ways, the ex-couple continues to co-parent their son Azad. Kiran is also seen playing a pivotal part in Ira’s wedding ceremonies.
