Actor, producer, director, and politician—Kangana Ranaut wears many hats. Now, adding another venture to her name, she has announced her new cafe, The Mountain Story, nestled in the breathtaking landscape of the Himalayas.
Kangana shared a post on Instagram unveiling the first look of the cafe. In the video, she is seen entering the picturesque spot, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. She is welcomed at the reception by her staff, who are seen wearing traditional Himachali caps. The video then pans to the cosy interiors, featuring wooden furniture, regal lamps, and a fireplace that adds warmth to the setting. In the voiceover, Kangana shares that The Mountain Story is inspired by her childhood memories and the aroma of home-cooked meals made by her mother.
The video also showcases a sumptuous traditional Himachali thali and other local delicacies. The café’s outdoor seating offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. Concluding the video, Kangana says, “I welcome you to The Mountain Story,” before revealing that the café is set to open on Valentine’s Day, February 14. She captioned the post, “A childhood dream comes alive—my little café in the lap of the Himalayas. The Mountain Story—it’s a love story. #TheMountainStory Opening 14th February ❄️👩🍳💝.”
Kangana also shared a clip from an old interview where she spoke about her dream of opening a café that serves dishes she discovered and loved during her travels around the world. In the same clip, Deepika Padukone is seen saying that she would be Kangana’s first client. Holding Deepika to her promise, Kangana tagged her and wrote, “You promised to be my first client.”
Earlier, sharing photos from the location, she wrote, “The mountains are calling, and I must answer. The mountains are my bones, the rivers my veins, the forests my thoughts, and the stars my dreams. A mountaintop is where life finds its purest meaning of freedom.”
Kangana now joins the growing list of Bollywood celebrities venturing into the restaurant business. Malaika Arora recently launched her café, Scarlett House. Karan Johar owns Nuema, a fine-dining restaurant in Mumbai’s Colaba. Shilpa Shetty Kundra owns Bastian, one of Mumbai’s most popular restaurants, while Hrithik Roshan has a café in Lower Parel. Gauri Khan also owns a restaurant named Tori in Mumbai.
On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Emergency, which failed to perform at the box office, continuing her streak of flops. She has already begun work on her next project with her Tanu Weds Manu co-star R. Madhavan. Additionally, she recently hinted at the possibility of starring in Queen 2 and Tanu Weds Manu 3.
