Jackie Shroff owns one of the most stunning farmhouses in Maharashtra — nestled between Mumbai and Pune. Spread across approximately 44,000 square feet of lush greenery, the property was a gift he bought to mark his 25th wedding anniversary and has since remained one of his favourite retreats.
Recently, Jackie Shroff invited filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan to his farmhouse, where the two cooked organic patte ki bhaaji in traditional mud pots on a rustic chulha.
The sprawling property opens into a world of vibrant greens — dotted with trees, plants, and an abundance of life. It houses a large fish pond full of ducks, a poultry section, and a thriving patch of organic vegetables and fruits. There’s even a massive swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, an open-air amphitheatre where Jackie Shroff often hangs out with friends, and an akhada-style gym equipped with traditional and modern workout tools.
The farmhouse features several rooms for family members and a charming open kitchen, where food is cooked organically using produce from the land itself.
During the tour, Jackie Shroff showed Farah Khan a tree he planted 12 years ago on his mother’s birthday, a gesture that deeply moved her. He also pointed out a space he plans to develop for his cattle.
A curious Farah asked, “Dada, yahan shooting allowed hai kya?” to which Jackie smiled and replied, “For you, everything is allowed.”
He even took her to his “Titanic Point,” where they posed together in the iconic style.
As they explored the grounds, Farah asked, “How many plants do you think you have here?” Jackie replied, “I believe over 700.”
Farah quipped, “Don’t tell me you bring the plants to parties from your farm!” Jackie grinned and said, “I do.”
Before heading to the kitchen, Farah Khan and her longtime cook Dilip gave a lighthearted performance at Jackie Shroff’s amphitheatre. Impressed, Jackie asked, “He’s so good! Did you train him?” to which Farah laughed, “I’ve forgotten everything.” Jackie playfully added, “Mujhe laga mujhe sikhaate sikhaate thak gayi thi tu!”
