After traipsing around Udaipur and taking in the sights at the royal palace, director Farah Khan and her cook Dilip took a trip to New Delhi to meet Ashneer Grover and Madhuri Jain Grover. The entrepreneur couple invited the duo to their affluent home situated in the southern part of the city in order to give them a tour and cook some food with the help of Ashneer’s mother. Their house has long corridors which were, for some reason, all adorned with portraits and sketches of Ashneer himself.

The former Shark Tank judge first took Farah over to the dining table that was reported to be worth Rs 10 crore. Farah asked for permission before touching the table and asked Ashneer if it actually cost that much. Ashneer replied, “The media wanted to publish something about me. This table weighs 150 kg; some journalists read it as 150k. Now they thought that this was too cheap, so they concluded that the price must be dollars. They then converted it into rupees and came up with the price tag of Rs 1 crore, but someone working at a Hindi newspaper decided that this is also too low of a price, and they added one more zero, hence Rs 10 crore.”

The wall past the living room also had a painting of Madhuri sitting on a throne, with several important monuments and sights like the Eiffel Tower, Brooklyn Bridge and the Big Ben in the background. Ashneer revealed that he had gifted this to her on their wedding anniversary.

Farah then noticed that Ashneer had a huge portrait of his dad next to the bar, and she asked why. He replied, “The bar belonged to my father; it was for him. He was there every day, and Madhuri and I are teetotallers anyway.” Their living room was divided into two separate sections, with one side housing the dining table and the other consisting of a faux fireplace, some paintings, and a lot of chairs and sofas for seating. A middle table with 4 chairs around it, along with the bar, acted as a divide between the two sections.

The couple also had a separate room to house all of the certificates, awards, and mementos Ashneer had received throughout his career, and Madhuri explained that all of this was just half of the total collection. The couple then took Farah to a movie room, filled with beautiful chairs, some more pictures of Ashneer, and a large television set. The director was shocked to see their son Avyukt’s room, which looked clean and pristine from every corner. It also had several posters of Marvel and DC characters, along with a keyboard.
