Anshula Kapoor got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Rohan Thakkar, on October 2. Two days later, she and several members of the Kapoor family shared beautiful glimpses from the celebrations, which were attended by Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and many others. The couple’s engagement was marked by a Gor Dhana ceremony—a traditional Gujarati pre-wedding ritual where jaggery and coriander seeds are distributed to guests as symbols of prosperity and good fortune for the couple’s union.
Sharing a series of photos from the event, Anshula wrote: “This wasn’t just our Gor Dhana—it was love showing up in every little detail. Ro’s favorite words have always been ‘Always and Forever’—and today, they started to feel real in the sweetest way. His love makes me believe fairy tales don’t just live in books, they live in moments like these.”
She added: “A room overflowing with laughter, hugs, blessings, and the people who make our world feel full. And then, Ma’s love… quietly wrapping itself around us—in her flowers, in her words, in her seat, in the way her presence could still be felt everywhere. All I remember is looking around and thinking: this is what forever should feel like.”
The bride-to-be looked radiant in a purple bandhani lehenga by Arpita Mehta, while Rohan complemented her look in a kurta set by Kunal Rawal. The couple was all smiles as they were candidly captured in heartfelt moments.
Anshula also shared a touching family photo featuring her brother Arjun Kapoor, step-sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, and father Boney Kapoor. One especially emotional moment showed Arjun performing rituals alongside Rohan, fulfilling his brotherly duties.
In a beautiful tribute to her late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, Anshula had a special seat set aside at the ceremony adorned with a framed photo from her childhood, honouring her mother’s memory.
One heartwarming image showed Anshula emotionally holding Arjun’s hands, while another captured Janhvi and Khushi affectionately posing with their soon-to-be brother-in-law. The sisters twinned in light yellow outfits as they performed bridesmaid duties and shared joyful moments with the bride.
The entire Kapoor family came together for the celebration. A group photo featured Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor with Karan Boolani, Jahaan Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor’s boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya.
Anshula also gave fans a peek into the beautifully done floral decor at the Kapoor home. A board read: “Ghar Ki Pehli Shaadi.” The decorations included flowers, candles, and personal touches—like childhood photos and her favourite candies.
Shanaya Kapoor also shared photos from the ceremony, where she twinned with her mother, Maheep Kapoor, in coordinated red outfits. Maheep posted a series of pictures and videos, including a behind-the-scenes clip of the family trying to pose for the perfect group photo—lightened by Arjun’s banter. She also shared blessings and love for the couple as she fulfilled her chachi duties.
Rohan proposed to Anshula in July, a milestone the couple shared with a heartwarming Instagram post. In a long caption, Anshula revealed: “We met on an app. Started talking on a random Tuesday at 1:15 AM. We spoke until 6 AM that morning. And somehow, even back then, it felt like the beginning of something that mattered.”
Three years later, Rohan proposed in Anshula’s favourite city, in front of the iconic castle in Central Park, New York—at exactly 1:15 AM India time.
She further wrote: “And somehow the world paused just long enough for the moment to feel like magic. Just the quiet kind of love that feels like home.”
Anshula, who once didn’t believe in fairytales, shared that what Rohan gave her was even better:
“I said yes—through ugly tears, shaky laughs, and the kind of happiness I can’t put into words. Because since 2022, it’s always been you. I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person.”
