Femina Miss India World 2022 Sini Shetty, who is representing India at the 71st Miss World pageant, paid tribute to Aishwarya Rai by dancing on her songs in the talent round. Aishwarya won the Miss World crown in 1994, this year is the 30th anniversary of the national glory she brought to India. Sini danced on some of Aishwarya’s iconic numbers like “Nimbooda” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, “Taal Se Taal Mila” from Taal and “Kajra Re” from Bunty Aur Babli among others.
Sini took to social media to share her dance performance and wrote, “For my talent showcase at the 71st Miss World, I am thrilled to present a tribute to the unparalleled and stunning Miss World 1994, @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb. Since her crowning moment, Aishwarya has set the Bollywood stage on fire, becoming a beacon of grace and talent.”
“Growing up, I was mesmerized by her performances, often finding myself mimicking her dance moves. Today, as I stand here representing India, it feels incredibly fitting to honor this legend. She has been a source of inspiration to countless individuals through her journey. My performance tonight is a blend of Indian classical and Bollywood dance styles, a heartfelt homage to the legacy of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan 🤍👸🏻,” Sini added.
Sini got a lot of love for her tribute to Aishwarya. Several dance enthusiasts posted encouraging comments on her post. A Mumbai based garba group Thangaat commented, “You are super talented,” another user wrote, “She honors Aishwarya Rai, but her standard of dancing is Madurai Dixit…absolutely perfect timing and movements.” Some netizens also commented how they see Sini as the next big thing in Bollywood as one person wrote, “I see a future Bollywood Superstar right here. This girl is going to create history 🔥.”
The countdown to the coronation of Miss World 2024 has already kicked off as the pageant’s grand finale is set to unfold on March 9 in Mumbai. Sini started her journey into the world of beauty titles began when she was crowned Miss India in 2022. She is a Mumbai based finance graduate, marketer, dancer and aspires to be a Bollywood actor.
