Former actor Imran Khan, known for his rare public appearances and even rarer social media activity, surprised everyone with a recent declaration. He hinted at a possible comeback in a comment on veteran actor Zeenat Aman’s Instagram post. Imran, who made his debut with the commercially successful romantic comedy Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in 2008, was last seen on the big screen in Katti Batti (2015), which turned out to be a huge debacle, leading to his prolonged hiatus from acting.
Imran’s fans were, however, in for a surprise when the actor hinted at his comeback. Yesterday, the veteran actor shared her new advertisement for a fintech brand. A social media user took to the comments section and wrote, “Zeenat ji ne bhi comeback karlia, patani mera @imrankhan kab karega.” Much to her delight, Imran noticed her comment and responded, “Chalo Aditi, let’s leave this to the internet… 1M likes, and I’ll make it happen (shake hands emoji).”
Ever since Imran’s response, fans have flooded Zeenat Aman’s Instagram post, sharing their excitement. They are eagerly hitting the like button in the hope of witnessing Imran Khan’s return to the silver screen. A fan wrote, “Not me searching for Aditi’s comment to like Imran’s reply😂.” Another fan wrote, “Ye Imran khan ka comment kaha hai (Where is Imran’s comment).” One more social media user wrote, “Relax we are all here to like Imran’s comment only🤝🏼🥰.” Another fan of Imran wrote, “It’s just me here to like @imrankhan comment so that he makes a come back?”
In a resurfaced old interview, Imran Khan had discussed the struggle of balancing his professional and personal life. He emphasised the importance of having a life of his own beyond his public persona and stardom. Imran expressed that his personal life is of utmost significance to him. “Main actor 5-6 saal se hoon, 32 saal se main insaan hoon. That is a struggle ki aap inn dono ko balance kaise karein. Wo miss karta hoon main, meri personal space. It becomes difficult (I have been an actor for the past 5-6 years, but I have been a human being for the last 32 years. So that’s a struggle that I battle with, it is difficult),” he said.
