Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest film Animal is drawing all kinds of attention — good, bad and ugly from the audience. But those who have watched the film are unified in praising actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is seen in a never-seen-before avatar of a ruthless businessman. To get into the skin of his character, Ranbir underwent a physical transformation as well. However, now a video that is going viral on social media, reveals that while the actor sweats it out in the gym to get the chiselled chest and six-pack abs, he used prosthetics to showcase his character’s ageing and his pot-bellied look.

In the video, Ranbir is seen putting on the prosthetic pot-belly to make his stomach look fuller. He wears a silicon bodysuit to achieve the desired look. As the video surfaced on social media, some of the actor’s fans praised him for his performance and his hard work for the film, and some questioned him for not putting on weight naturally instead of using prosthetics.

One of the comments on the video read, “You’d think he would work out and put the weight on like Aamir Khan did for Dangal, then work out to take off the weight.” Another user wrote, “It is amazing.”

Earlier, Ranbir’s fitness coach Shivoham shared a clip of the actor on Instagram where he was seen rigorously training in the gym. He lifted heavy weights to achieve a beefed-up body for his role in Animal.

Animal also stars Bobby Deol as the main antagonist, who was also praised for his toned body in the film. It also starred Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, and Shakti Kapoor among others. The film is running well in the theatres and has already earned Rs 338 crore within seven days of release. Globally, the film has earned Rs 563 crore.
