Housefull 5 box office collection day 1 early estimate: The makers of Housefull 5 adopted a unique marketing strategy of releasing the film with two different endings to boost their box office collections. However, it seems the move has not really worked in their favour, as the film has collected just Rs 13.81 crore as of 6 pm on Friday. Tickets of the movie are available as Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. Both the versions are same for the first two hours, while the last 20 minutes differ from each other.
Housefull 5, starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakri, Sonam Bajwa, among others, was released in 7018 screens with Housefull 5A releasing in 4074 and Housefull 5B in 2944 screens. Housefull 5A witnessed an overall occupancy of about 20.93%, whereas, Housefull 5B had a lesser occupancy rate of 10.76%.
Together, Housefull 5 has managed to earn Rs 13.81 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Despite being a popular franchise and the addition of actors such as Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, and Johnny Lever, the film has failed to impress the audience. The two endings has created further confusion among viewers in terms of their movie going experience. While some say the first version is better than the second, others claim the second version takes a darker turn compared to the first version. Both endings have different people as murderers.

Expressing their confusion online, some users have questioned the need of releasing the film with two different endings with some suggesting they could have released different versions on OTT.
Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Kesari 2, has not seen success for quite some time. With the current numbers, twist in endings, and confusion among fans, it is hard to say whether Housefull 5 will end his streak of flops.
