Vishal Mishra’s upcoming directorial Hotel Milan is a satirical take on anti-romeo squads. Based on real events, the movie stars Kunal Roy Kapur, Jaideep Ahlawat and Zeishan Quadri in pivotal roles.
The trailer of Hotel Milan was released on Tuesday. The opening sequence of the trailer itself shows Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, with a voice over describing the government’s agenda through anti-romeo squads. The film showcases the plight of young couples, and how two friends, played by Kunaal and Zeeshan, start a hotel, which is more like a ‘meeting spot’ for lovers.
Since the film touches upon some controversial topics, director Vishal Mishra was asked if he is expecting any problem or protest before the film’s release.
Mishra said, “I am not expecting anything so immature. There’s no issue with them the UP government. They have 1000 types of policies, and out of those this is one anti-Romeo squad, with which we have a major issue with so, we have highlighted this. There’s no message for the young people. The message is for people above them, they who come in the first 10-12 seconds of the trailer, the message is for them. Young couples are sorted.”
Hotel Milan will hit screens on September 14, 2018.
