Actor and politician Hema Malini has been active in politics for a few years now and in a recent interview, she spoke about how her family has been extremely supportive of her work. Hema also shared that her Esha Deol is inclined towards joining politics.
Hema is currently serving as BJP’s member of Lok Sabha from Mathura. In an interview with ABP News, the actor shared how her husband Dharmendra supports her. She also said that the veteran superstar sometimes visits Mathura. “Family is with me all the time,” said Hema. She further said, “Because of them, I am able to do it. They are looking after my house in Mumbai, so I am very easily coming to Mathura. I come and go back. Dharam ji is very happy with whatever I am doing, so he supports me and he also comes to Mathura.”
Hema and Dharmendra have two daughters Esha and Ahana. When asked if she wants the next generation of her family joining politics, Hema said nonchalantly, “If they want.” She then spoke about Esha and said, “Esha is very much inclined for that. She likes to do it. So many be next few years, if she is interested, she will definitely (join politics).”
Recently, Esha Deol announced her separation from husband Bharat Takhtani after 11 years of marriage. The duo shared a joint statement which read, “The statement issued to Delhi Times reads, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”
