Gauri Khan’s debut book My Life in Design sheds light on her journey as an interior designer. It also features exclusive photos of Gauri, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and Abram Khan in their residence Mannat. The coffee table book, published by Penguin Random House, was launched by the star couple in Taj Lands End, Mumbai on Monday.

Shah Rukh and Gauri looked elegant as always. SRK was all suited up for the occasion while Gauri was seen in a matching black dress.

Here are the pictures:

Shah Rukh Khan, in the foreword of the book which also touches upon the design thought-processes behind Mannat, has written, “I am excited to see what she has included in her book, and if by chance she has designed some space better than what she has done for me, I will force her to give me a discounted makeover for my space.”

The superstar also wrote about how there were times when they couldn’t even afford a sofa that they liked and that was the reason for Gauri Khan turning into a designer. “We once went to buy a sofa, but since it was too expensive, we just bought the leather for the sofa on one of my travels and waited for some carpenter to build what Gauri had designed in a notebook,” the actor wrote.

Mannat has now become an iconic spot in Mumbai. And SRK waving at hundreds of fans gathered around his house during his birthday and festivals has become a ritual of sorts every year.
