Producers of 'Fukrey' Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani today paid tribute to actor Ashraful Haque.

Producers of ‘Fukrey’ Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani today paid tribute to actor Ashraful Haque.

The 45-year-old actor, who starred in ‘Traffic Signal’ and ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Fukrey’, died yesterday.

Ashraf is survived by his wife and nine-year-old son.

Farhan Akhtar tweeted:


In ‘Fukrey’, he played the character of a drunkard who had loads of money but lived like a beggar on streets. The hit 2013 film also starred Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma. Ritesh Sidwani tweeted:

An NSD graduate, Ashraf was in 1997 batch with actor Raajpal Yadav.

The Assam-born actor was last seen in national award-winning film ‘The Lost Behrupiya’ (2013), where he played the lead role.
