Fighter motion poster: Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor don colours of armed forces, give a Top Gun vibe

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's first look from Fighter was unvieled on Independence Day. Helmed by Siddharth Anand who recently delivered a hit with Pathaan, the film will release in the theatre on 'India's 75th Republic Day' next year.

On the occasion of Independence Day, the makers of the actioner, Fighter released its first motion poster featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The film, helmed by Siddharth Anand who recently delivered a hit with Pathaan, will release in the theatre on ‘India’s 75th Republic Day’ in 2024.

The motion poster, titled ‘Spirit of Fighter’, begins with a visual of three Sukhois taking off. Then the camera pans to Hrithik Roshan, who will be essaying the role of an IAF officer called Patty in the movie. The actor looks dapper in his pilot G-suit. Earlier, the actor had shared that he shot for about 12 days inside the fighter jets Sukhois and with the Sukhois for the film.

Next, we are introduced to Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, who also seem to be playing Air Force officers in the movie. To keep up with the patriotic flavour of the day, the motion poster has a rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ playing in the background.

Talking about the film, Anand, who is also making his debut as a producer under his production company Marflix, earlier shared, “Fighter is a dream project, and I am glad to have someone with Ajit Andhare (COO, Viacom18 Studios) vision to be partnering this with me. With this film, we aim to put Indian films on the map for action-loving global theatrical audiences who crave for spectacle and the big screen experience.”

The makers are calling Fighter India’s “first aerial action drama.” In an earlier statement, the makers said that “the film will be shot across the world and will pay tribute to the valour and sacrifice of the country’s armed forces.”

Both Deepika and Hrithik have previously collaborated with Siddharth Anand. While Hrithik has worked with him on two movies, Bang Bang and War, Anand directed Deepika in the comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.

The film, bankrolled by Viacom18 Studios, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande, will release on January 25, 2024.
