Farah Khan is one of those rare Bollywood celebrities who has made a name for herself in various capacities. Apart from being a renowned dancer and choreographer, she has also made strides as a director, writer and film producer. Now, she is shining as a social media star as well, with her frequent vlogs on her official YouTube channel becoming a sensation among netizens, thanks in particular to her witty cook Dilip.

Recently, Farah and Dilip paid a visit to acclaimed actor Sanya Malhotra’s house, where the three of them took part in a cook-along session. During their conversation, Farah noticed a scar on Sanya’s left leg, which the actor revealed was from a bike accident that occurred on the sets of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha, where she starred alongside Radhika Madan. Farah immediately pointed out a superstition of sorts among them that films in which the female lead falls on set often turn out to be hits.

Kajol used to fall on the sets of all our films, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). After a point, whenever she did, we’d heave a sigh of relief, assuming the film would be a hit. While we were shooting Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Preity Zinta was giving a shot on a bridge and she fell down. We were thinking, ‘Thank God, now the movie’s going to be a hit.’ So now, I occasionally push my actors on set once in a while,” Farah quipped. She served as the choreographer for both films.

As usual, this vlog too featured some light-hearted banter between Farah and Dilip and a couple of other funny moments. As they all were in the kitchen, Sanya’s cook Sushila approached Farah and asked her to call her if there were any roles in movies featuring didi (Sanya) that might suit her. Farah replied, “Why didi? Let’s make one starring you and Dilip; a film about Bihar and Jharkhand.” Sushila, however, responded in jest, “But he’s already a superstar. I have to become a star first to be paired opposite him, right?” Farah, nonetheless, maintained that it didn’t matter, as she was always on the lookout for newcomers.
