Actor Emraan Hashmi has been receiving a lot of praise for his portrayal of antagonist Aatish Rehman, an ex-ISI agent in Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan. The actor recently opened up on his equation with Salman and reveled why, unlike most actors, he doesn’t call Salman ‘bhai’.
In an interview with Connect FM Canada, Emraan shared the reason why he doesn’t believe in showing respect through words, but by actions. He said, “I might not call Salman ‘bhai’ but I take him as a brother, I take him as a friend. So I don’t need to address him that way and go around and tom-tom about it and put a label on him just because other people call him that.”
“Respect doesn’t come from what you say verbally, it comes from your behaviour, you show respect through your actions. I truly believe this and this has been my family’s upbringing. I respect everyone, I don’t, in any way, segregate people on a film set. I respect all equally. It’s thanks to my grounding and my family background,” Emraan added.
Emraan previously called Tiger 3 the biggest film of his twenty-year career. In an earlier interview with indianexpress.com, Emraan had said, “This is definitely the biggest film as far as the scale goes, as far as star-cast goes, as far as the sheer collections that have come in and as far as production house YRF goes. In these times at least, post Covid, the industry had changed so much and it was pretty dark times for us. Seeing these kinds of collections this year is very heartening and you can say that Bollywood is inching its way back to the top of the game.”
