There was a tough competition between Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale’ and Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on the first weekend. Having a strong star cast and noted directors like Rohit Shetty and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it was difficult to predict about which movie would outshine the other. Dilwale collected a whopping Rs 100 crore worldwide in three days of its release and in India alone the movie has earned Rs 75 crore in four days of its release and Tuesday’s figures are still awaited. Meanwhile, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is inching close to the 100 cr mark as it has earned Rs. 90.80 cr worldwide.
Dilwale had collected Rs. 21 cr on the first day, Rs. 20.09 cr on the second day, Rs. 24 cr on the third day and Rs. 10.09 cr on Monday. The SRK starrer film has collected Rs. 75.18 cr in the first four days.
In an official statement by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Dilwale has grossed a whopping Rs. 145 crore worldwide.
On the other hand ‘Bajirao Mastani’s first day collections were Rs. 12.80 cr, and it saw an upsurge in its collections on day two as it collected Rs. 15.52 cr, Rs. 18.45 cr on the third day and Rs. 10.25 cr on Monday. Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani have collectively done an excellent job at the box office. They have collectively earned a whopping Rs. 111.86 cr in the first weekend.

Taran Adarsh posted that both this Friday’s releases, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Dilwale’ are liked by moviegoers. The pre-Christmas clash has resulted in division of business.
