Boney Kapoor announces No Entry 2 with Diljit Dosanjh, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan: ‘It’s a big one’

No Entry, which was headlined by Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, will complete 20 years in 2025-- which is when the sequel is likely to release.

After 20 years, there will finally be an entry of the much-awaited sequel. Producer Boney Kapoor has confirmed that the sequel of his hit 2005 multi-starrer comedy No Entry is ready to roll with actors Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor set to headline the second installment.

No Entry originally starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan and was a box office success. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film also featured Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley.

There have long been reports that the makers were trying to mount the sequel with Salman and Anil reprising their roles. On multiple occasions, Bazmee and Boney Kapoor had also shared that they were ready with a script and were waiting for the stars to give them a go-ahead.

In an interview with indianexpress.com, Boney Kapoor confirmed that No Entry 2 is finally happening, with a new cast. “The film is on cards, and we are set for it. It is a big one and we will probably start rolling by December this year. We have got Varun, Arjun and Diljit. There will be a lot of actresses as well.”

No Entry will complete 20 years in 2025, which is when the makers hope to release the film. While the original was a movie about philandering men, it is reported that the sequel will feature double roles of Varun, Diljit and Arjun.

Boney Kapoor, however, is tight lipped about the concept as he fears it getting plagiarized–as it has happened before, he reveals. “Earlier, the concept had spilled over and some films had copied it, or rather ‘adapted’ it. I don’t want to name the film, so it is better not to speak about it. I used to brag about the unusual concept we had but then I found out there was another film that was made with the same concept.”

Currently, the producer is gearing up for the release of his next Maidaan. The Amit Ravindernath Sharma directorial is a biopic based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, played by Ajay Devgn. The film is set to release on April 10.
