Actor Dia Mirza recently celebrated her husband Vaibhav Rekhi’s 40th birthday with family and close friends from the industry, including Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Amrita Puri, Kubbra Sait and Siddharth. Dia shared a heartfelt message on social media, along with pictures and videos from the intimate celebration.
The caption of her post on Instagram read, “Because we are the sum of who we surround ourselves with. This is us. Even those who couldn’t make it! Happy Birthday, Husband.” She mentioned her parents-in-law as well and said, “Poonam Rekhi and Rajiv Rekhi, thank you for bringing this incredible human into this world. He is all kinds of amazing, and we are so lucky to call him our own.”
The first video shared by Dia Mirza featured all her friends posing in front of the camera and wishing Vaibhav Rekhi on the joyous occasion, while Richa Chadha playfully messed with Amrita Puri’s hair in the background.
In another video, the couple was seen cutting the cake with their son, Avyaan, as Siddharth hugged Vaibhav and chatted with the little one. Meanwhile, Richa and Ali stood in the background, embracing each other and posing for the camera once again. The actors, who tied the knot in 2020, became parents last year when they welcomed their daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal.
Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi tied the knot in 2021, two years after the actor’s divorce from her former husband, Sahil Sangha. In addition to their son Avyaan, the couple also co-parent Vaibhav’s daughter, Samaira, from his previous marriage.
Dia Mirza was last seen in Nadaaniyan alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Even though the movie received scathing reviews, especially because of the performance of the lead stars, Dia came out in defence of the young actors and said that people tend to blame individuals who come from a position of privilege.
