Real-life couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have reunited for an advertisement, marking their first on-screen appearance together since Singham Again. The duo shared the ad through a joint Instagram post, captioned simply: “Mera sukoon.” The couple star in a beautifully shot tourism film for Visit Abu Dhabi.
The ad opens with Ranveer at a museum, admiring an artefact as he muses, “90 AD — can you imagine this level of detailing in 90 AD? Sometimes I wonder, what would my pose be if they made a statue of me!” Deepika playfully responds, “You definitely deserve to be in a museum.”
Ranveer then asks, “Do you ever wonder what we would be like if we grew up somewhere else?” Deepika ponders before saying, “Interesting. There are some places that ask us questions we don’t ask ourselves.”
Ranveer continues, “And there are some places that just let us listen. Let me show you…” To which Deepika reflects, “It’s amazing how silence can feel like someone is speaking back.” The ad concludes with Ranveer saying, “It’s just Abu Dhabi. It’s like a pause button,” and Deepika adding, “We travel to see the world, but sometimes we end up seeing ourselves.”
Previously, celebrity couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma collaborated with Visit Dubai for a similar tourism campaign — their ads continue to trend on YouTube.
The new ad also marks Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s first project together post-parenthood. Deepika, currently on maternity break after welcoming her daughter Dua, recently stepped away from two major projects — Kalki 2898 AD sequel and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit — citing scheduling and contractual conflicts. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of Dhurandhar this December.
