Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh revealed the name of their daughter on Friday. Deepika and Ranveer, who welcomed their baby girl in September, have named her Dua Padukone Singh.
On Friday, the couple shared a picture on Instagram, featuring the feet of their baby girl, who was evidently dressed in ethnic wear. In the caption, they explained the meaning of their daughter’s name and the reason behind choosing it. Dua means prayer.
Sharing the photo, the couple wrote, “Dua Padukone Singh. ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer.”
This is the first ever photo of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s daughter since her birth on September 8. Deepika’s post caught the attention of Raha’s mother Alia Bhatt, who dropped hearts in the comments section. Ram Charan’s wife Upasana Konidela commented, “Cutest.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed their first baby in September this year. The couple announced their pregnancy in February this year just before heading to Jamnagar to attend the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s first film after their baby’s birth, Singham Again, also hit screens today. This marks Deepika’s debut in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff.
