Crime is on screen and love, in the air. Team Dahaad, featuring actors Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah on Wednesday teased co-star Vijay Varma by mentioning actor Tamannaah Bhatia’s name repeatedly. The duo is reportedly dating each other.
Dating rumours of Vijay and Tamannaah first gained steam after a video of them kissing each other at a New Year’s bash in Goa went viral on the internet. So far, they haven’t made their relationship official. At the trailer launch of Prime Video’s Dahaad, when asked how was it for Gulshan to be a part of the series, the actor said, “I was in uniform most of the times so I really enjoyed that. Bachpan se meri tamannaah thi ki mein uniform pehen ke kuch karu (it was my childhood wish to wear the uniform).”

Vijay, who was standing next to Gulshan, kept blushing as the audience burst into a laughter. Later, Sohum also joked that it was his ‘tamannaah’ to get a role like this. “I have never done anything like this, the show has very strong writing.” The anchor hosting the event then said, “Hume khushi hai ki aapki tamannaah puri hui hai,” as Vijay giggled.
Sonakshi, who was standing next to the Darlings actor said, “Itni hichkiyan aa rahi hogi na uss ladki ko (the girl must be getting so many hiccups),” as Vijay tried to control his laughter. Though the rumoured couple has been spotted multiple times together, both Vijay and Tamannaah have remained tightlipped about their relationship.

At the event, Vijay said he was thrilled to be offered a part on the 8-part crime drama series created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar. “I had worked with them on Gully Boy, then I worked with Excel on Mirzapur. I was excited to get something else with them and then came Dahaad. I was absolutely floored by what I read, by the character and the entire story. I really like to work with them,” Vijay added
Directed by Reema Kagti along with Ruchika Oberoi, Dahaad is produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby and Executive Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar along with Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar. Dahaad will premiere on May 12 on Prime Video.
