Crew, starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon, is turning out to be the first clean hit of the year 2024. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, the heist comedy is gliding at the box office after passing the crucial Monday test. The film grossed Rs 6.6 crore globally on Tuesday. According to the makers, Crew’s five-day global gross earnings stand at Rs 77 crore. However, according to Sacnilk, its total domestic nett earnings stand at Rs 37.20 crore, and its gross domestic total stands at Rs 40.3 crore. The film is performing well in the international market as well as, where it has raked in over Rs 25 crore.
Crew witnessed an overall 12.99 percent occupancy on day five, with most people choosing to catch the film later in the day. In Mumbai, where there were 709 shows, the occupancy was 15.25 percent. In Delhi and NCR, with 926 shows, the occupancy was 14 percent. Chennai witnessed the highest occupancy of 31.67 percent but with only 41 shows.
Crew has been performing very well at the box office even when it released just a day after Pritiviraj Sukumaran and Blessy’s Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life). It clashed with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Aadujeevitham’s six-day earnings stand at Rs 40.40 crore and the five-day total earnings of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire stands at Rs 49.75 crore nett in India.
Looking at the film’s performance over the last five days, it can be said that Crew will cross the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide before big films such as Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan hit the cinemas on Eid.
