Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 isn’t being promoted heavily even though the film’s release is less than two weeks away. Yet, the movie has managed to stay in the news with regards to its censor certificate. Now, the film has gotten an Adults Only or A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The CBFC has suggested a list of modifications to the makers.

The changes include the deletion of visuals of frontal nudity by replacing them with suitable visuals of Naga Sadhus. The dialogues that mention alcohol as a form of offering to God are also present in the list of modifications. The list also suggests that the makers remove the poster of a condom ad from the film. The visuals of what is being described as ‘sculptures of unnatural sex’ are also directed to be modified.

In a rather strange modification, the visual of the word ‘rat’ from a bottle of rat poison is also included in this list. The list also includes the visual of a judge clicking selfies in the courtroom and the mention of real places like Ujjain.

OMG 2 ran into controversy when Mahesh Sharma, a priest of the Mahakaleshwar temple, demanded that the scenes filmed at the temple be removed from the film. He said that if the demand isn’t met, they will launch protests against the movie. He was quoted by ANI as saying, “The censor board has given A certificate to the film Oh My God 2. This certification is reserved for films that have adult content. We demand that some scenes, which were filmed at the Mahakal temple, be removed as they might offend the religious sentiments of viewers. If our demand isn’t met, we will launch protests across the country.”

Also starring Yami Gautam Dhar, Govind Namdev and Arun Govil, OMG 2 is set to hit screens on August 11.
