After impressing as Geeta Phogat in Dangal, Zaira Wasim has surely made a mark in the industry with her second film Secret Superstar. Zaira earlier admitted in an interview that she received much more love for this Advait Chandan directorial and the appreciation is for sure reflecting as box office numbers. The film, which had slow beginning at the box office has been able to mint Rs 36 crore so far.
Not just Zaira, Aamir’s quirky avatar as a musician Shakti Kummar has also garnered rave reviews, who were left yearning for a little more of his character’s screen time.
Some people has actually stated that Aamir’s presence has helped a film like Secret Superstar pull the crowds into the theatres Advait Chandan said, “Yes, but it is not just about his acting in the film, but the whole project. Aamir’s presence amplified the film ‘Secret Superstar’. No production house was ready to support the film. The way Aamir Khan Productions has supported the film with all resources and mounted the project, is great. Only AK can do that.”
Earlier, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took revealed the film’s collection till Monday, “#SecretSuperstar Thu 4.80 cr, Fri 9.30 cr, Sat 8.71 cr, Sun 8.50 cr, Mon 3.05 cr. Total: ₹ 34.36 cr. India biz.” He further mentioned the overseas business of the film, “OVERSEAS – Total till Monday, 23 October 2017: $ 3.1 million [₹ 20.22 cr].”
Later it was revealed the film has been able to collect Rs 2.50 crore on Tuesday, making a total of Rs 36 crore in the Indian market.
